| Pastoral Care & Community Support |
| |
The team maintains a network of care for the whole Church community and encourages all church members to be a part of that role. |
Some aspects of this Ministry are:
- Prayer Chain which is activated in times of need;
-
Foyer Ministry to welcome newcomers and create a friendly atmosphere on Sunday morning;
-
Card ministry, caring for members and friends at times of celebration, sorrow or difficulty;
- Two home groups and a ladies get together group meeting monthly;
- Hospital and nursing home visits;
- Communion in the home.
LADIES GROUP last Monday evening of each month in 2012
SENIORS GROUP meets on third Wednesday of each month at EDBC.
10 am. All welcome.
MEN'S GROUP is meeting monthly.
NEW: WEDNESDAY KOINONIA (community/fellowship)
This twice monthly group (2nd & 4th Wednesdays, 10 am until a shared lunch) will commence in February—8 and 22, 2012, meeting in the Tom Keyte Seminar Room.
It is open to any EDBCers (and others) - especially if you are not currently attending an EDBC small group.
We will learn together (Bible studies, book reviews, visiting speakers), share life-stories, sing (sometimes or often—we are still working out how to do that best), pray in small groups and adopt a mission project (probably microfinancing to support a village in West Timor or elsewhere to rise above the poverty line).
